As with a bolt from the blue, our life can change drastically. A person dear to us, perhaps a family member, may die as a result of a car crash; we may be diagnosed as having a life-threatening illness; we may lose our job, or our relationship may break down. Many people are left completely helpless when facing this kind of situation. It often happens that Satan makes use of these dramatic events to apply additional pressure, so that a person is completely finished off. Severe depression, fear of the future and despair may be the consequence.
For all people affected by these or similar situations, I would like to proclaim the
following words from the Bible:
2 Corinthians 7,6:
"Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us ...."
2 Thessalonians 2,16:
"Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace."
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe in me [Jesus
1 Peter 5,7:
"Casting all your care upon him [Jesus Christ]; for he careth for you."
"....for I am the Lord that healeth thee."
The Almighty Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit really want to comfort you and look after you! What an encouraging promise! There can hardly be greater comfort, or a greater liberation. Never mind how hopeless your situation looks. Only Jesus can save you! Only he can give you future prospects extending right into eternity. And above all, he can also offer you the prospect of a way out of your distress. How can you experience this comfort and this caring concern in your situation of need? The only way is to hand over your life to Jesus Christ! Only he can save you! You will experience liberation from your situation – even if you do not experience any immediate healing, and no immediate solution is in sight. Jesus will comfort you – he won't let you down. I can testify that Jesus liberated me at a stroke from all my worries, anxieties and despair when I handed over my life to him once more, even though no kind of change to the situation was as yet apparent. Praise and thanks to him! After this he did then also free me from the situation itself.
What do you have to do? It is very important that you recognise that as a result of your sin and your separation from God you are lost. But Jesus doesn't want you to be lost! He wants to save you!
The Bible tells us, in 1 John 5,12-13:
"He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on
the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."
If we hand over our lives to the Lord Jesus, confess our sinfulness to him and love him with our whole heart, we have a prospect that extends into all eternity. This perspective can give you strength and new courage for life, even today. Praise and thanks to the Lord Jesus! But he can help you in your concrete life situation today. Cast all your cares on the Lord Jesus Christ! He will look after you – even if this path may turn out differently from the way you may have imagined. Just trust Jesus!
I beg you to decide for Jesus! Accept the gift of faith!
How do I become Christian?

When you have had the wonderful experience of Jesus Christ and have handed over your life to him, you can
corroborate the words of the apostle Paul: Romans 8,38-39
"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities,
nor powers, nor things present, not things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord"
Nothing can separate us from Jesus Christ! Thanks be to God!
